Freedom

Our God given freedom does not mean we can do anything we want. Rather freedom gives us the ability to choose and take responsibility for our choices.

Thus doing good, loving and serving others is the right choice that maximizes our freedom. Picking something that satisfies the flesh or our own self-interest is a poor choice, if we can even call it that. Serving our self and what feels good is just a reflection of our sinful nature. As we tend to disregard, that sin is a bondage in our lives. If we continually live in sin, are we not slaves to it? Thus how can we say we are free if our own choices lead us captive to the sins latched in our own lives?

For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13
